Blackpool is home to approximately 4,500 veterans of the Armed Forces, as well as a vibrant community of currently serving personnel
It is our turn to be here for you and your families.
Our Armed Forces Community Project works alongside veterans, serving personnel, reservists, cadets and military families across Blackpool and the Fylde Coast.
Through advocacy, signposting, wellbeing support, community engagement and partnership working, we help people to access the support they need, ensuring that their voices are heard. Our aim is to reduce disadvantage by strengthening local services and opportunities for our Armed Forces Community.
This year, we gave a voice to our Armed Forces Community through a local listening project. The insights gathered are already helping to shape future services, strengthen partnerships and improve support across Blackpool and the Fylde Coast, by making sure these stories are at the forefront of local decision making.

Rhys and Michelle story
Following leaving Army life, Rhys and Michelle moved into Blackpool with their two children to start civilian life. Following their move to a more suitable home, the family are now thriving and enjoying life in a new community.
