We are SafeLives, the UK-wide charity dedicated to ending domestic abuse, for everyone and for good.
We work with organisations across the UK to transform the response to domestic abuse. We want what you would want for your best friend. We listen to survivors, putting their voices at the heart of our thinking. We look at the whole picture for each individual and family to get the right help at the right time to make families everywhere safe and well. And we challenge perpetrators to change, asking ‘why doesn’t he stop?’ rather than ‘why doesn’t she leave?’ This applies whatever the gender of the victim or perpetrator and whatever the nature of their relationship.
About this survey
This is a very difficult and challenging time across the country with uncertainty around the corner. We are all in a position of being isolated in our homes. For some of us this is not a safe place. We want to understand what you feel, and what you need.
This survey is designed to understand the experiences of people currently experiencing domestic abuse. The information you share in this short survey will be used to develop our key messages from those living in abusive situations, or have experienced abuse to inform our ask of the Home Office over upcoming months. We would be grateful if you could take 5 minutes to share your experience.
How to complete the survey
Use the ‘Next’ button at the bottom of each page to move through the survey. If you want to go back to a previous page click ‘Back’. You can click the ‘Exit’ button at the bottom of each page if you need to. Once you have finished the survey a ‘Submit’ button will appear on the bottom of the page. Please ensure you click this button in order to send us your answers.
