Peer Navigator- Prison Leavers Project
37 hours per week
Salary: £21,000 per annum
29 days annual leave plus bank holidays
Permanent subject to receiving continued funding
We are seeking to recruit 3 Peer Navigators to join our brand new Prison Leaver Project which will be working alongside people leaving prison and who are experiencing multiple disadvantage (Homelessness, Substance Misuse, Mental Illness and Offending Behaviour).
The successful candidate will demonstrate a passionate commitment to our organisational values: Kindness, Justice and Equality.
You will work intensively with each person leaving prison to access and engage with a wide range of service provision across Blackpool. You will work with passion and commitment so that people who are prison leavers are empowered to lead a life away from the criminal justice system to one in which they are making a positive contribution to their local community.
Empowerment particularly welcomes applications from people who themselves have a Lived Experience of Homelessness, Substance Misuse, Offending and Mental Illness.
This position is subject to an enhanced DBS clearance two appropriate references and a probationary period.
