Job Advert – Independent Advocate

Independent Advocate
37 hours per week

Salary: £21,000 per annum

29 days annual leave plus bank holidays

Permanent subject to funding


Empowerment is looking to recruit a passionate individual to work alongside very vulnerable adults eligible for statutory advocacy. We are a values based organisation committed to

  • A passion to develop positive and trusting relationships with vulnerable people.
  • A commitment to ensuring the voices of those rarely listened to are genuinely heard.
  • An ability to recognise the unique potential in everyone they work alongside.
  • To be able to speak truth to power with kindness, challenge injustice and work for equality for all.
  • Excellent case note and report writing skills.

 

As this role involves going in to care homes it will be a condition of employment that all Independent Advocates are to be doubly vaccinated with an MHRA approved COVID-19 vaccine or provide evidence of exemption, in line with the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) (Amendment) (Coronavirus) Regulations 2021.

 

Enhanced DBS required. The ability to travel independently is essential.

Interviews will be held on Wednesday 2nd February 2022. The interview will also include a short written test.
