About Sarah

Sarah is a qualified Person Centred Therapist. Sarah has been counselling at Empowerment for the last 12 months with clients that have needed support within their journey with mental health and well-being, alcohol and substance misuse, homelessness and offending behaviour. Sarah continues to volunteer her counselling skills with Trinity Hospice, where she has worked for the last three years with clients with a terminal illness and bereavement support. Prior to this Sarah’s work experience was carried out with Horizon for alcohol and substance misuse, Cruse Bereavement and Lancashire Victim Services with adults suffering domestic abuse.

Sarah is an empathic counsellor and works with her core conditions of unconditional positive regard, congruence, respect and non-judgement to support her clients within their journey. To ensure those she supports, Sarah is a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and works within their ethical framework, of standards and good practise. Sarah practises confidential safe sessions so clients can explore their thoughts and feelings privately to gain clarity and acceptance.
